Investment Trade Operations Analyst | Daley And Associates, LLC

The Tone:
This is a temporary contract role, placed by Daley And Associates, LLC, at a global asset management company located in Downtown Boston, MA. The role provides essential back-office support for the daily operations of mutual fund investments and trading activities. This position is critical for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and reconciliations within the investment firm. Candidates will play a key part in maintaining operational integrity and supporting investment teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trade Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve trade discrepancies by interacting with brokers and custodian banks.
• Trade Processing and Settlement: Instruct trades and amendments, process and reconcile trade activities, and settle trades and foreign exchanges.
• Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly asset and cash reconciliations and research and report variances or incorrect holdings.
• Cash Management: Prepare wire transfers to fund investment activity and process various cash transactions.
• Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor cash flows, daily expenses, collateral holdings, and income receivables for client portfolios, and prepare daily and monthly client reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance. This is an entry-level role.
• Experience: Internship(s) or up to 1 year of experience in the financial services and/or asset management industries.
• Skills: Knowledge of MS Office applications, spreadsheet proficiency, ability to work as a team player, and strong focus on completing tasks within established strict timeframes.
