Investment Operations Manager | State of Missouri

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Coordination: Coordinate investment activities including market monitoring, pricing, trade tickets, and counterparty communications, managing trade strategy, collateral eligibility, settlement timing, and resolving exceptions.
• Liquidity Management: Plan and manage short- and medium-term cash ladders across daily, weekly, and monthly horizons to ensure operational liquidity and minimize idle balances.
• Compliance and Reporting: Oversee collateral and compliance controls, including haircuts, eligibility, and substitutions, while documenting any necessary remediation actions.
• Process Optimization: Follow established procedures and internal controls for investment operations, recommending and implementing process improvements to strengthen continuity and audit readiness.
• Project and Stakeholder Communication: Ensure alignment with project scope, objectives, and stakeholder expectations, documenting outcomes against defined success standards and facilitating regular communication with managers and other stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Possess knowledge of investment markets, economic theories, investment principles, and portfolio management.
• Experience: Demonstrated familiarity with Bloomberg and experience developing and utilizing API-driven spreadsheets.
• Skills: Strong analytical and data analysis skills; strong computer proficiency; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
