• Mission: To support new business development and transaction execution by performing in-depth financial analyses and modeling for technology clients and prospects.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Valuation Analysis: Perform extensive financial and valuation analyses to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions.
• Financial Modeling: Build comprehensive financial models to value potential and actual clients or industries, executing core valuation methods such as comparable companies and discounted cash flow.
• Due Diligence and Research: Perform thorough due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions, escalating identified deal issues.
• Presentation Development: Draft management presentations to highlight financial analysis and research results, and assist in developing proposals for clients and prospects.
• Mentorship and Training: Provide training and mentorship to summer interns and less experienced Analysts, imparting best practices.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree required; previous experience as an Investment Banking Analyst or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of investment banking experience covering technology or software (or private equity equivalent) is required, along with a proven track record in university studies. SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment.
• Skills: Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities, excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting and finance.
• Bonus: A strong desire to succeed, developing increasingly sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
