The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wellington Management, located in Boston, MA with a hybrid work model. Wellington Management is a private partnership offering comprehensive investment management capabilities across nearly all segments of global capital markets, providing tailored investment solutions to institutional clients. This role within Hedge Fund Investor Relations supports clients’ investment needs by contributing to client growth and retention, managing business operations, and ensuring investment integrity and risk management. The Investment Analyst provides critical analytical support and serves as a key point of contact regarding investment teams and products, ultimately contributing to the success of hedge fund products in the marketplace.

• Mission: To provide analytical support and serve as a central point of contact for internal constituents regarding investment teams and products under coverage, contributing to the success of hedge fund products.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Perform analyses related to portfolio positioning, attribution, risk, market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing for diversifying hedge fund strategies.
• Communicate: Develop and maintain marketing materials, manage RFP responses, and address inquiries from clients and prospects.
• Report: Produce monthly and quarterly performance commentary, track investment allocations, and generate general flow data and analysis.
• Support: Assist Portfolio Managers with internal updates and exposure analysis.
• Evaluate: Review and assess the integrity of hedge fund data, analytics, and client materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: University degree with strong academic credentials; finance, accounting, or business-related majors preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of directly relevant experience; demonstrated knowledge of alternative products, fixed income and equity markets, and data analysis including performance and risk.
• Skills: Mastery of MS Excel for managing large datasets; strong analytical skills to organize, interpret, and draw conclusions from investment data; effective verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Bonus: CFA (or pursuing); high work ethic; strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through; ability to collaborate globally and manage multiple tasks across teams; thoroughness and prioritization skills; adaptability and willingness to learn.
