Plant Accounting & Financial Analyst | Harley-Davidson Motor Company

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, located in York, PA. At Harley-Davidson, the commitment is to build more than machines, continuing the evolution of a storied brand and heightening the desirability of the experience. The York Vehicle Operations facility is the final assembly plant, performing manufacturing operations including fabrication, welding, polishing, and painting. This role is crucial for providing financial guidance, direction, and analytical support to the York plant, ensuring the financial health and strategic planning for its operations.

• Mission: Provide financial guidance, direction, and analytical support to the York Vehicle Operations Plant by coordinating budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis.
• Tech Stack: SAP (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Analysis: Provide financial business analysis to assist directors and managers with the financial management of their departmental expenses.
• Budget & Forecast Coordination: Coordinate the development and preparation of all expense, capital, and headcount budgets and forecasts according to the financial planning calendar.
• Month-End Financial Support: Record month-end journal entries and accruals, ensuring all expenses are recorded in the month incurred.
• Performance Reporting & Analysis: Distribute departmental performance reports and analyze spending variances to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
• Special Projects: Participate in special projects as required to support the plant’s financial objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work and/or public accounting experience; demonstrated competency in the use of spreadsheets and accounting systems for analysis and financial modeling.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management; self-motivated and continuously seeking process improvements; strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader, analytical perspective; excellent organizational skills to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Bonus: SAP experience a plus.
