The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TalentAlly, located at the Corporate Headquarters in Metro Detroit, Michigan. TalentAlly operates within an industry-leading organization in the real estate sector, specializing in RV resorts. This position is vital for supporting the Director, Financial Reporting, by ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of both internal and external management reports and compliance filings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analytics: Execute accounting journal entries and conduct financial analytics for various specialized areas.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts, prepare supporting work papers for external audits, and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Internal Reporting: Prepare and distribute various internal management reports on a monthly basis.
• Financial Consolidation: Perform tasks necessary for the consolidation of subsidiary financial statements.
• SEC Filings: Assist in the timely preparation and submission of required SEC filings, including 8-Ks, 10-Ks, proxy statements, and supplemental reporting/press releases.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with foundational knowledge in general ledger, financial statements, and analytical principles.
• Experience: Two years of experience with general ledger, financial statements, and analytical responsibilities are required. Prior experience preparing 10-Ks and 10-Qs is a strong preference.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, prioritization, multitasking, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply accounting principles.
• Bonus: CPA certification, 6 months of experience in real estate, or 6 months of experience with Workiva.
