Associate, Finance Leadership Development Program | The Hartford

The Tone:

• Mission: Develop critical leadership and functional skills in areas like financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial reporting, internal audit, and investment accounting and analysis through a two-year program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Acquire critical leadership and functional skills across various finance domains, including financial planning and analysis, management reporting, and investment accounting.
• Rotate: Engage in rotation assignments specifically designed to build financial acumen and comprehensive industry knowledge over two years.
• Participate: Benefit from a structured learning curriculum that establishes a strong career foundation and develops functional, role-based proficiencies.
• Contribute: Access supplemental project work, providing additional opportunities for practical experience and skill enhancement.
• Transition: Prepare for and gain access to key Finance roles within The Hartford as a candidate upon successful program graduation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level career professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Insurance, and/or International Business, expected by May 2026.
• Experience: Demonstrated record of high achievement, analytical thinking, initiative, and process improvement, alongside leadership experience outside of the classroom.
• Skills: Strong communication abilities, adaptability to change, effective team collaboration, and the capacity to analyze complex problems for sound recommendations.
• Bonus: A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the time of graduation.
