The Tone:
This is a full-time role at PEAK6, located in Austin, Chicago, or New York City, with a hybrid work model allowing up to two days remote. • Mission: Manage individual portfolios and their risks, testing and analyzing trading strategies to maintain market inventory and support customer needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Licensing & Foundations: Pass the Series 57 licensing exam within two months of hire, then learn market mechanics and options theory through classroom sessions and group discussions.
• Proprietary Trading: Engage in group trading environments to practice both the art and science of trading, mastering all of PEAK6’s proprietary tools and technology.
• Strategic Collaboration: Communicate ideas and strategies effectively to senior trading partners and collaborate with trading teams to develop new, cutting-edge tools.
• Portfolio Management: Manage an individual portfolio, overseeing its risks and testing and analyzing your own trading strategies directly in the market.
• Project Ownership: Take the lead on projects with unique ownership and responsibility, exploring interests in both automated and discretionary trading throughout the training program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, graduating between December 2026 and June 2027, indicating an Early Career professional interested in financial markets.
• Experience: Availability for an August 2027 start date, with the ability to relocate to Austin, Chicago, or New York City.
• Skills: Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities to work effectively in teams, and a readiness to learn and apply coding techniques.
