• Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour
• Mission: This person helps customers explore products and design solutions, supports showroom operations, and helps create an exceptional customer experience.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, 20/20 Design, CAD
What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Assistance: Assist customers in exploring various products and design solutions for their home improvement needs.
• Showroom Support: Support daily showroom operations, including organizing displays and maintaining product information.
• Product Education: Learn about leading manufacturers of cabinetry, hardware, appliances, countertops, moldings, and millwork.
• Design Process Participation: Gain exposure to design and sales processes, including order entry and CRM documentation.
• Relationship Building: Help build relationships with homeowners, architects, builders, contractors, and other trade professionals.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently in school, recently graduated, or exploring a new career path, with an interest in design, construction, or building a long-term career with Riverhead Building Supply.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills; a customer-focused mindset and professional demeanor; proactive, dependable, and enjoys problem-solving.
• Bonus: Experience with 20/20 Design or CAD.
