Genocide Watch Fall 2026 Intern | Genocide Watch

The Tone:
This is an unpaid, virtual internship at Genocide Watch, located remotely. Genocide Watch is the world’s first anti-genocide NGO and the founder and Chair of the Alliance Against Genocide. This role offers students and volunteers the opportunity to contribute directly to genocide prevention efforts globally, working as part of various specialized teams and regional advocacy task forces. It requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week to support the organization’s mission.

• Team: Serve on teams such as Research, Podcast, Communications, Alliance, Mapping, Legal, and regional Advocacy Task Forces (ATFs).
• Mission: Support genocide prevention efforts through focused contributions to research, communications, advocacy, and collaborative team projects.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft 365 Office Suite, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Microsoft Teams

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Actively engage with a specialized team, such as the Research Team, Podcast Team, Communications Team, Alliance Team, Mapping Team, or Legal Team, to advance specific organizational goals.
• Contribute: Support regional Advocacy Task Forces (ATFs) by engaging in relevant activities and discussions, aligned with the organization’s advocacy objectives.
• Research: Conduct comprehensive research and analytical writing on topics related to genocides, ensuring sharp attention to detail in all outputs.
• Collaborate: Foster relationships and work effectively as a team player, providing constructive feedback during weekly team and organization-wide meetings.
• Learn: Embrace opportunities to get involved in a variety of activities and expand knowledge in genocide prevention through on-the-job experiences.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Students and volunteers who have previous experience studying, researching, and writing about genocides, demonstrating a passion for genocide prevention.
• Experience: Some experience working with social media platforms including X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Skills: Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; strong communication abilities; fluency in written English; proficiency in using Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
• Bonus: Fluency in a second language is preferred.
