The Tone:
This is an internship opportunity at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a dedicated ministry with a national presence, with various internship locations available. The organization is committed to developing student athletes, guiding them through a process of discerning their individual calling and potential career paths, while simultaneously immersing them in diverse facets of Christian ministry through FCA’s established programs. This intern role is absolutely critical to the FCA mission because it introduces collegiate volunteers to the practical application of faith in a ministry setting, providing foundational training and invaluable experience. Interns serve as integral participants in the spiritual formation of coaches and athletes, directly contributing to the FCA’s core purpose of challenging and equipping individuals to make an impact for Christ.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Uphold Organizational Principles: Actively agree with and consistently abide by all tenets outlined in FCA’s Christian Community Statement, ensuring all actions and attitudes reflect these foundational beliefs throughout the internship experience.
• Cultivate Personal Spirituality: Maintain a disciplined and consistent spiritual rhythm, which includes engaging in daily prayer and dedicated Bible study, specifically to seek and understand the Lord’s will for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and its ongoing ministry efforts.
• Provide Active Spiritual Leadership: Take initiative to lead, guide, and provide spiritual direction to various stakeholders including fellow staff members, volunteers, coaches, and athletes. This leadership is demonstrated through shared prayer, structured Bible studies, communal worship experiences, and by consistently living a personal example that inspires and equips others to serve God effectively.
• Engage with Local Church Community: Connect deeply with and actively participate in a local Christian church through consistent worship attendance and meaningful weekly involvement, embodying the importance of community and corporate worship.
• Model Biblical Conduct: Consistently conduct oneself in a manner that meticulously affirms biblical standards of conduct, always in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs as comprehensively detailed within the FCA’s Christian Community Statement, serving as a constant positive example.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a collegiate education, interested in discerning a calling and career path within Christian ministry.
• Experience: Collegiate volunteer seeking a learning and developmental ministry experience during a summer or a semester.
