Intern | Texas Cultural Trust
The Tone:
This is an internship at Texas Cultural Trust, located in Austin, TX. The Texas Cultural Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to being the leading voice of the arts in education, advocacy, and economic impact across Texas, while spotlighting the state’s artistic excellence. This role is crucial for supporting the organization’s daily operations and various programs, providing valuable hands-on experience in nonprofit management. The intern will learn about program operations, communications, donor development, administration, and event planning.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (minimum 10 hours/week), accommodating academic schedules

• Pay: $12 hourly
• Mission: Support the organization’s day-to-day operations and programs to ensure the effective execution of its mission.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communication Support: Engage with the Trust’s various constituent groups, partners, and vendors through strong written correspondence, phone, and email.
• Information Management: Maintain and update the organization’s databases and calendars, and organize physical and digital files, program collateral, office materials, and event supplies.
• Project Assistance: Conduct research and provide direct support for various organizational projects and initiatives.
• Event Coordination: Assist with the comprehensive planning, logistical arrangements, and successful execution of events.
• Administrative Operations: Perform essential administrative duties as directed, including answering phones and running errands as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in nonprofit operations.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
