What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation: Organize and maintain facility documentation, equipment records, and project files.
• Observation: Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to observe critical systems such as power, cooling, and backup equipment.
• Data Management: Help update spreadsheets, inventories, and track logs related to facility assets and projects.
• Meeting Support: Support team meetings by taking notes, preparing materials, and documenting action items.
• Safety & Learning: Learn about workplace safety practices, participate in facility safety observations, and observe vendor activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment in a technical, engineering, facilities management, or related degree program, with a strong interest in critical facilities, engineering, building systems, or data center operations.
• Experience: Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software, and a willingness to learn about preventive maintenance, system monitoring, and incident response processes.
