Intern Position Summary:

This is an in-person internship located at EVgo Headquarters, specifically within our lab. You will be working directly under our Mechanical Engineer in Hardware Development. Your primary focus will be assisting with the research and development of charging cable cooling infrastructure. This critical work includes involvement with piping, heat exchangers, high voltage connectors, and cables.

Responsibilities:

  • Your primary responsibility will be designing, building, and conducting thermal and high current test stages.
  • This includes performing comprehensive testing, meticulously analyzing data, and writing detailed reports on your findings.
  • You will also be assisting in automating and innovating on current test procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Recent college graduate or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Python and/or coding experience.
  • Strong skills in Data Analysis.
  • Previous Lab Experience.
  • Knowledge of Electronics.
  • Experience with Arduino.
  • Understanding of Thermodynamics principles.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks.
  • Project Experience with heat exchangers, cooling systems, and piping systems.
  • Project Experience in Ergonomics.
  • Project Experience with Coding and Automation.

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $22.00/hour – $27.00/hour USD. The hourly pay may vary depending on job-related factors, including education, knowledge, skills, and experience.
