Shared Services Accounting Intern | Lennox
The Tone:
This is an internship at Lennox, a company driven by 130 years of legacy in HVAC and refrigeration success. Lennox provides industry-leading climate-control solutions to residential and commercial customers. This role is crucial as it involves participation in impactful, developmental projects designed to provide real work experiences and exposure to business leaders. Successful interns will have the potential to join Lennox full-time upon graduation.

• Team: Shared Services General Ledger (GL) Accounting team
• Mission: Support accounting process innovation within the General Ledger team by leveraging AI-driven solutions and automation to improve workflows, operational efficiency, and data accuracy across multiple business units.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAP, AI tools and technologies
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support accounting process innovation initiatives within the General Ledger Accounting team.
• Leverage AI-driven solutions and automation to streamline accounting workflows.
• Improve operational efficiency through new accounting processes.
• Enhance data accuracy across multiple business units.
• Drive more agile accounting processes throughout the company.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, in good academic standing, with a foundational understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Skills: Strong work ethic, coupled with a positive, proactive, and collaborative attitude.
• Bonus: Previous internship, work, or project experience utilizing Excel for data analysis or reporting; familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems; exposure to AI tools and technologies used to improve business processes; demonstrated leadership experience through work, student organizations, athletics, or volunteer activities.
