What You’ll Actually Do
• Support engagement projects: Provide comprehensive support for various assigned projects that contribute to the successful completion of engagements, encompassing both tax compliance and tax consulting matters for clients.
• Research and analyze issues: Conduct thorough research and detailed analysis of complex accounting and tax-related issues to inform recommendations and ensure accurate compliance.
• Utilize data tools: Apply data extraction, data analytics, and data visualization tools effectively to process information and deliver valuable insights to clients.
• Collaborate with team: Proactively interact with the engagement team to gather necessary information, effectively resolve problems encountered, and formulate recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Prepare tax returns: Take primary responsibility for the accurate and timely preparation of corporate and individual tax returns, which is a core component of the engagement process.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be actively pursuing either a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, preparing for a career in tax advisory services.
• Experience: Must have an anticipated graduation date falling between December 2027 and August 2028, and be available to commence full-time employment between January 2028 and October 2028. Plans to pursue minimum requirements for CPA eligibility are essential.
• Skills: Demonstrated understanding of tax compliance and tax consulting principles. Ability to conduct accounting and tax-related research. Foundational skills in utilizing data extraction, data analytics, and data visualization tools.
• Bonus: A preferred overall GPA of 3.3 (with a minimum accepted GPA of 3.0), or a compelling combination of educational success paired with applicable work and/or volunteer experience.
