This is a 2027 Spring Internship at Doeren Mayhew. Doeren Mayhew operates as the 36th largest CPA and advisory firm, providing attest services through Doeren Mayhew Assurance, PC and tax and business consulting through Doeren Mayhew Advisors, LLC and its subsidiaries. This internship offers students real-world accounting experience, allowing them to work alongside seasoned professionals and challenge existing accounting and business norms. What You’ll Actually Do
• Work on engagement teams with various Principals, Managers, Associates, and other interns to complete client projects.
• Utilize audit or tax software programs following hands-on training provided during the initial weeks.
• Compile and analyze financial information, testing and documenting business transactions or working on tax projections.
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements or corporate and individual tax returns.
• Gain exposure to a variety of client engagements and industries such as manufacturing, construction, and non-profit.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, qualifying as an Entry-Level professional.
• Experience: No prior years of experience required, with completion of at least one intermediate accounting course by Spring 2027 preferred.
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; proven time management skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities; demonstrated leadership skills and ability to take initiative.
• Bonus: 3.0 GPA (cumulative and in accounting major); work experience preferred (related or unrelated to accounting); high degree of curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm.
