Event Planning, Social Media and Public Relations Intern | C • L • E Cotton Candy

The Tone:
This is an internship role at C • L • E Cotton Candy, located in Cleveland, OH. C • L • E Cotton Candy is a locally owned and operated gourmet cotton candy company, owned by Rebecca Adele PR & Events, focused on unique flavors and engaging event experiences. This role is crucial for growing the brand’s presence through event execution, social media engagement, and public relations efforts, offering a hands-on entrepreneurial learning experience. Interns will contribute directly to the business’s operations, marketing campaigns, and customer interactions, gaining valuable experience in a fun and dynamic environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Social Media Management: Develop weekly social media plans and post engaging content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Event Execution: Work local events, including setup, customer interaction, collecting payments, and live social media posting, expecting 1-3 events per weekend.
• Content Creation: Direct photoshoots and videos, creating new visual content for seasonal marketing campaigns and documenting behind-the-scenes processes.
• Brand Communications: Draft and distribute eblasts, newsletters, and quarterly press releases to promote company news, events, and new products.
• Studio Operations: Assist with event preparation, pre-spinning cotton candy, and fulfilling online and retail location orders in the Solon studio 1-2 days weekly.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Strong interest in event management, social media marketing, public relations, entrepreneurship, or retail business.
• Experience: Must be located in the Cleveland/Akron/Northeast Ohio/Canton area for the duration of the internship; ability to commit to working 1-3 events per weekend on average, along with 1-2 in-studio days weekly and remote work.
• Skills: Excellent communication and content creation abilities; proficiency in social media platforms and willingness to learn creative software; an outgoing personality suited for retail and sales environments.
• Bonus: A passion for event planning, active social media engagement, and a desire to learn hands-on business operations.
