What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn from and be mentored by experienced BGE employees while contributing to team projects.
• Participate in organized events and training specifically designed to foster career growth.
• Engage in dedicated intern-specific activities in addition to regular project responsibilities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members on assigned tasks related to public works initiatives.
• Develop foundational professional skills through hands-on work and structured learning opportunities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a full-time student in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Proficiency with standard business software, specifically MS Office applications, is required, along with the aptitude to quickly adopt and utilize industry-specific software tools.
• Skills:
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong collaborative approach, working effectively within team environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office business software.
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new industry-specific software applications.
• Commitment and capacity to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
