The Tone:
This is an internship at Versant Media, located in Washington, D.C. Versant Media is a leading force in news, sports, and entertainment, home to iconic brands that inspire, inform, and delight audiences through content, technology, and services. This role offers students the opportunity to build foundational skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain exposure to how a modern media organization operates, helping to shape a new experience designed to invest in emerging talent and support early career development.
The TL;DR

• Type: Part-time (24 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, Washington, D.C.
• Pay: $19 hourly
• Mission: Gain hands-on experience contributing to CNBC content that helps audiences understand and navigate the world of business.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Skill Building: Build foundational skills relevant to the operations of a modern media organization.
• Project Contribution: Contribute to meaningful projects within Versant Media’s news and entertainment portfolio.
• Program Development: Help shape a new internship experience designed to invest in emerging talent and support early career development.
• Content Production: Gain hands-on experience contributing to CNBC content, providing real-time financial market coverage and business insights.
• Professional Growth: Participate in structured onboarding, professional development, mentorship, and networking opportunities across the company.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution for the entire duration of the program OR with a graduation date in Spring 2026. Must have a current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Experience: Not specified. Must be available to work 24 hours per week from September 14th, 2026, through April 16th, 2027, on-site at the Washington, D.C. office.
• Skills: Foundational understanding or strong interest in business and financial markets, ability to assist in content creation and editorial processes, and effective communication for contributing to media content.
• Bonus: Preferred class standing of junior or above, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, strong interest in the media industry, and previous internship experience with on-campus involvement.
