Intern: CampX Innovation (Fall 2026) | Volvo Group

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Volvo Group, supporting the CampX Innovation team within Volvo Group North America, with an assumed in-person presence in Greensboro, NC. Volvo Group is a global leader committed to shaping the future landscape of efficient, safe, and sustainable transport solutions. This role is vital for advancing the company’s mission by actively identifying and engaging with cutting-edge technology companies and startups, thereby contributing to next-generation technologies and strategic product planning.

• Mission: To drive technology and business innovation by assessing and partnering with leading technology companies and startups.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support CampX innovation: Provide direct support for CampX innovation business needs, collaborating with the global CampX network, senior managers, technical experts, and innovation professionals.
• Prepare business cases: Assist in the preparation of innovation business cases and support the execution of related projects, gaining experience in new business creation.
• Research startup ecosystems: Conduct detailed research to map strong economic areas, clusters, and network organizations, identifying future leading technology companies for potential partnerships in North America.
• Apply digitalization skills: Utilize and apply digitalization skills proficiently across various platforms, including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Represent CampX: Employ strong written and vocal communication skills to effectively represent CampX internally and externally, fostering collaboration and engagement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level internship for students pursuing a Business-related or Engineering-related degree at an accredited school, or students with previous Innovation Internship experience. Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies.
• Experience: Requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75. Fall interns will work up to 30 hours per week.
• Skills: Demonstrated analytical research capabilities for identifying economic clusters and technology companies, proficiency in digitalization tools such as SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Strong communication skills, both written and vocal, are essential for representing CampX.
