Job Description

Job Title: Intern – Civil Engineering (Transportation Group)
Location: O’Fallon, Illinois office.
Group: Transportation Group.

This summer internship offers a student the opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of transportation engineering. The intern will work on a diverse range of projects including roadway, highway, and bridge related assignments. The program is structured to pair the intern with experienced engineers across different disciplines, providing hands-on learning within current projects.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with the design and 3-D Modeling of roadway corridors.
• Contribute to quality control processes.
• Ensure adherence to client design standards.
• Provide support with design calculations.
• Assist in geometric layout, plan quantity, and cost estimation.
• Participate in field assignments, specifically construction inspections.
• Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplined design team.
• Engage actively in a dynamic learning environment.

Requirements:
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering.
• CAD experience is considered a plus.
• Possess strong and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Previous internship experience is considered a plus.
