Job Description:

This is an Intern position at Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center. As an intern, you will develop and administer treatment as indicated by assessments and prescribed by physicians, under the direction of an assigned clinical instructor. This role is designed to provide quality rehabilitation services to clients.

Essential Duties:

• Model appropriate behavior in a positive therapeutic environment.
• Observe confidentiality rules regarding program participants.
• Proactively initiate and follow through with tasks.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and State of Michigan regulations.
• Attend clinical reviews and family conferences.
• Evaluate, document findings, and implement treatment plans.
• Record evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes.
• Communicate client progress to stakeholders.
• Schedule client visits and complete billing processes as appropriate.
• Develop and upgrade treatment plans and exercise programs.
• Attend staff meetings, orientation, and in-service training.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of documentation systems, including clinical outcome data collection and analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Communication:

Physicians: Discuss client progress and plan rehabilitation programs.
Team Members: Facilitate client treatment and discuss procedures.
External Stakeholders: Provide education and updates related to treatment plans.

Education and/or Experience:

• Knowledge equivalent to that required by the appropriate program to practice in the designated discipline. Level of education varies based on discipline and type of internship.
