Staff Accountant – Manufacturing | Red Rover Recruitment

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a growing contract manufacturer in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, located in an in-person manufacturing environment. The company partners with major retailers and consumer brands like Walmart and Procter & Gamble to produce high-quality products. This role is crucial for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, contributing to financial processes, reconciliations, and reporting as the business expands. It offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional early in their career to build strong operational accounting experience and grow into increased responsibilities within a practical and entrepreneurial setting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Accounting: Support daily accounting and bookkeeping activities across the business.
• Close Processes: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Reconciliations: Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, cash reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.
• AP/AR Management: Process and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze reports through the ERP system to support operational and cost visibility.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting; exposure to Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable functions.
• Skills: Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits), strong Excel proficiency (formulas, spreadsheets, data organization), strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work independently, strong communication skills.
• Bonus: Manufacturing or product-based environment experience, experience in a small-to-mid-sized company or less structured environment, adaptable and hands-on approach, eagerness to learn and grow, initiative in taking on responsibility.
