They host numerous events annually, including the Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, the world’s largest dance music festival.
Job Description:
Insomniac Events is seeking a Human Resources Intern to provide direct support to the HR team. This is a paid internship based in Calabasas, CA.
Responsibilities:
• Gain knowledge of corporate special event management and activity coordination.
• Gain knowledge of corporate lunch and activity coordination.
• Research event venue locations for corporate sponsored events.
• Maintain annual social event budget and forecast.
• Exercise project management skills during corporate events.
• Brainstorm employee engagement opportunities.
• Shadow professional development and training opportunities related to time keeping & payroll, HRIS, recruiting & onboarding, employment law, employee relations, production HR, training & development, benefits.
• Brainstorm company-wide announcements and templates.
• Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school.
• Must be able to work out of Calabasas, CA office at least three days a week.
• Typical commitment is 18-29 hours per week.
• Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude.
• Must be an active problem solver.
• Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands.
Work Environment:
• Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening, and weekend hours, as required.
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on-site at various event locations.
• Must be able to work in open concept office space.
Compensation:
• The expected compensation for this position in California is $18.00 USD Hourly.
• The expected compensation for this position is $16.50 USD – $18.00 USD Hourly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
