BRC

Established in 1971 by a group of recovering alcoholics who found hope amidst poverty in the Bowery, BRC has become one of New York City’s largest providers of housing and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Operating over 30 programs across the greater metropolitan area, the organization serves nearly 13,000 individuals annually with a robust continuum of care. This includes more than 3,700 units of transitional and permanent housing, outreach, case management, and comprehensive medical and substance use services, all designed to guide individuals on a caring and effective path from homelessness to home.
