Daedalus Industrial, a prominent electrical manufacturer, automation builder, and technical solutions company serving the data center, commercial builds, and industrial sectors, is seeking a motivated HR Intern to join our team for the summer. This part-time internship typically lasts until mid-August, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Position Summary

As an HR Intern, you will work closely with the Human Resources Manager, assisting with a diverse range of tasks and projects. This role provides exposure to various facets of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support. The internship is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and facilitate the development of essential skills crucial for a successful career in human resources.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the full recruitment lifecycle, including creating and posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interview schedules.
  • Support the coordination and facilitation of the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing and organizing orientation materials.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR systems.

Employee Relations:

  • Aid in organizing and executing employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Assist in responding to employee inquiries and providing support on various HR-related matters.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of employee recognition and appreciation programs.

HR Administration:

  • Help maintain HR databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support the preparation of comprehensive HR reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and clarity.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in coordinating various training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Support the development and organization of training materials and resources.
  • Help track and document employee training and development activities.

Special Projects:

  • Actively participate in assigned HR projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist with the implementation of new HR software and tools to enhance departmental efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in pursuing a career within the human resources sector.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, suitable for professional interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working effectively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under supervision.

Duration

This is a part-time internship spanning the summer period, typically concluding by mid-August. There is a possibility of extension based on the intern’s performance and the evolving needs of Daedalus Industrial.
