The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Chicago, IL
• Pay: $25–$32 hourly
• Mission: Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner for residents.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Schedule Adherence: Ensure that all assigned work and cleaning schedules are meticulously followed as closely as practical to maintain consistent facility standards.
• Service Coordination: Coordinate daily housekeeping services effectively with nursing services, particularly when performing routine cleaning assignments within resident living areas and other residential spaces, to minimize disruption.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and polishing of fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, bathroom fixtures, and other specified areas throughout the facility.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to established safety precautions and guidelines when carrying out all housekeeping tasks and when operating or handling any equipment and supplies to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
• Chemical Handling: Follow proper techniques for mixing various chemicals, disinfectants, and cleaning solutions, and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and supplies when managing infectious materials, hazardous wastes, or chemicals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Director-level leadership in housekeeping operations, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within a healthcare or residential care setting.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to effectively follow both written and oral instructions, particularly concerning the proper handling and mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, and disinfecting solutions. Proven capability to work collaboratively and harmoniously with diverse personnel, while also interacting with residents respectfully based on their individual maturity levels.
• Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to ensure clear communication and comprehensive understanding of operational procedures and safety guidelines.
