About John Knox Village Dining Services
John Knox Village offers a diverse and vibrant dining experience across its 400-acre residential property, featuring 7 individual dining outlets, each with its unique menu and style of service. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic culinary environment that prioritizes fresh, scratch-made cuisine and exceptional service.
Our dining outlets include:
- Fireside: A cafeteria-style restaurant, primarily utilizing batch cooking, with check averages around $6.50.
- Lakeside Grille: A quick-service restaurant offering a mix of cook-to-order and batch cooking.
- Courtyard Café, Places Restaurant, Stories Public House, and Metropolitan: These are full-service restaurants, with Courtyard Café, Places, Stories Pub, and Metropolitan boasting kitchens that are 70% to 99% scratch made-to-order. Check averages range up to $20.00 at Metropolitan.
- The Coffee Shoppe: A dedicated coffee outlet.
All kitchens benefit from the leadership and tutelage of a chef, utilizing skilled prep and line cooks to deliver high-quality meals. Our operating hours are family-friendly, with the earliest service starting at 7 AM and the latest closing time at 8 PM, allowing you to say goodbye to late-night shifts common in typical restaurants. Servers working in our full-service restaurants enjoy a higher hourly wage compared to the retail world, plus the added benefit of earning gratuities.
We offer flexible hours and both full- and part-time positions. Full-time positions are benefit-eligible, including up to 5 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually.
