Host/Hostess Role Overview

As a Host/Hostess, you will be an essential part of our team, working in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced environment. Your primary goal will be to deliver the best dining experience to our guests from the moment they arrive until they depart, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
• Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests, making them feel welcome.
• Managing the restaurant waiting list during high-volume periods to accurately set guest expectations and ensure smooth seating flow.
• Efficiently clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables to ensure they are ready for the next guest without delay.
• Sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return, fostering a sense of hospitality.
• Completing other tasks as requested or required by the manager on duty to support overall restaurant operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions throughout your shift.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.
• Flexible schedule – ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
• Demonstrating a high level of organization, cleanliness, and a sense-of-urgency in all tasks.
• Basic knowledge of how to operate a computer/tablet for seating and other operational needs.
