Job Description

Graphic Designer | Duet

The Tone:
This is a remote internship and volunteer position at Duet, an online philanthropic platform. Duet builds an innovative system that enables donors to provide meaningful aid to vulnerable families in a more dignified, efficient, and personal way. Through Duet, families can request the exact items they need to rebuild their lives, and donors can pay for those specific items on their behalf. The platform currently provides support to refugee families in Greece and has also delivered COVID-19 relief in Los Angeles. Duet operates as a group of 9 students and recent graduates, actively building the platform out of the Innovation in Engineering Design for Global Challenges class. Operating since March 2019, Duet has already facilitated over $75,000 in donations and cultivated a donor community of over 500 members, even earning features in Viterbi News and Marshall News. This role is crucial for Duet, which is currently registered as a nonprofit and pending 501(c)(3) status, as it will play a central part in strengthening the visual identity of Duet’s unique marketplace approach, expanding marketing efforts across social media and guerrilla strategies, and ultimately contributing to its mission of using technology for social good to improve real lives.
