• Pay: $65860–$83931 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Finance Division, working within the Grants team alongside experienced accountants and grant professionals.
• Mission: Ensure responsible management of grant funds and compliance with regulations to support impactful community programs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Operations: Assist with financial reporting, grant tracking, expenditure analysis, and reconciliations to ensure responsible grant fund management.
• Manage Transactions: Review grant revenues and expenditures, assist with grant draw requests, and prepare journal entries.
• Maintain Records: Reconcile accounts, maintain financial records, and help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Ensure Compliance: Assist with payroll redistributions, cost allocations, fiscal reviews, and audit support while promoting accurate reporting.
• Collaborate Across Departments: Work with various County departments to ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career accounting professional eager to build expertise in governmental grant accounting.
• Experience: Prior accounting experience supporting financial reporting, grant tracking, expenditure analysis, and reconciliations.
• Skills: Detail-oriented approach to financial data, strong problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
