Staff Accountant | Ultimate Staffing

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ultimate Staffing’s client, located in Nevada, operating on a Monday to Friday, first shift schedule. The client organization relies on precise financial management to ensure smooth operations and compliance. This Staff Accountant position is critical to supporting the overall financial health of the organization by maintaining accurate records and preparing essential reports. The role offers a dedicated individual the chance to apply their accounting expertise within a supportive environment, contributing directly to the foundational financial processes that underpin the client’s success. It provides an excellent opportunity to engage with various accounting duties, from daily tasks to monthly reporting, all while upholding the financial integrity of the organization.

• Mission: This role is dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing essential statements, and supporting the financial operations of the client through diligent accounting practices.

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Prepare accurate journal entries for the General Ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and promptly, which is fundamental to maintaining comprehensive financial records.
• Financial Data Validation: Systematically review financial information provided by various operating departments to verify its accuracy and completeness, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies before further processing.
• Account Reconciliation & Asset Tracking: Perform regular and detailed account reconciliations to ensure financial balances are correct and properly supported, alongside maintaining precise depreciation records for all fixed assets within the financial system.
• Financial Reporting & Tax Preparation: Accurately compile and prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements that reflect the organization’s performance, in addition to preparing and submitting necessary tax returns by their respective deadlines.
• Compliance and Record Keeping: Prepare and meticulously maintain all required tax and license records, ensuring the client’s continuous adherence to relevant regulatory obligations and upholding financial integrity.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree, specifically with an emphasis in Accounting, providing the foundational knowledge necessary for this role.
• Experience: Seeks candidates with entry-level experience in an Accounting or Finance-related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of financial practices.
• Skills: Must possess a professional appearance and demeanor suitable for interaction within the client’s environment, coupled with a detail-oriented approach to all financial tasks.
• Bonus: Preferred qualification includes at least one year of prior experience in an Accounting or Finance-related field, which would enhance immediate contributions to the team.
