Overview:

CB&I is seeking Welding Engineer majors for its highly regarded Graduate Training Program. This program, utilized for over 50 years, is a key pathway for identifying and developing the technical experts and business leaders who shape the company today.

This is a two-year rotational program designed to provide participants with diverse experience across various disciplines, including engineering, operations, estimating, and project controls. The goal is to develop broad knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for future leaders. Successful candidates will exhibit strong leadership characteristics and a perspective that contributes to a diverse and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel and work for extended periods in both field (construction) and office settings.
  • Field conditions: Expect to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, precipitation, dust, dirt, loud noise, and occasionally at height.
  • Office conditions: Work in a standard office environment with typical office noise.
  • Physical requirements: The role requires walking, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, crouching, sitting, reaching, typing, observing, listening, and speaking.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in a Welding Engineering discipline (including Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Engineering with a focus on welding) or Construction Management is required.
  • GPA: Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Work Authorization: Ability to work in the United States and willingness to travel.

    • Advanced Self-Awareness and Interpersonal skills.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work history or internship experience in construction, engineering, designing, and/or constructing Plate Structures and/or Pressure Vessels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Displays leadership potential.
  • Willingness to relocate to an available permanent position after successful completion of the rotational program.

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $66,588 – $79,906 Annually. Final offer details and future compensation may be influenced by factors such as geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
