Graduate Recruitment Student Assistant | Seton Hall University

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assistant Dean Support: Provide comprehensive direct assistance to the Assistant Dean, ensuring smooth execution of daily operations and long-term strategic initiatives related to graduate recruitment.
• Recruitment Coordination: Lead the coordination of a comprehensive graduate recruitment strategy, including the precise orchestration of digital and hard copy mailings sent to admitted students, meticulous event planning and active participation, and the seamless coordination of prospective student visits.
• Content Creation: Proactively develop engaging and informative written, video, and audio content specifically designed to highlight the graduate programs, spotlight current students, celebrate alumni achievements, and feature faculty expertise across social media platforms, the School’s website, and other promotional channels.
• Student Engagement: Initiate and maintain direct communication with admitted students through various channels, including telephone calls, personalized emails, and engaging in-person visits, to effectively promote the School and its diverse range of programs.
• Event Management & Research: Systematically organize and actively participate in key University and School recruitment events, effectively supervise other student workers involved in recruitment efforts, and conduct essential research projects, which include developing and deploying surveys, performing detailed data analysis, and preparing comprehensive reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Early Career role specifically for matriculated master-level students at Seton Hall University, requiring a foundational understanding of an academic environment.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of professional office experience is required, demonstrating a capacity for administrative support and professional communication in a structured setting.
• Skills: Applicants must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for document creation and data management, alongside strong proficiency in utilizing various social media platforms for outreach and content dissemination. The role also requires availability during weekends and evenings to support recruitment events.
• Bonus: Experience with Slate or other CRM platforms is desired for managing prospect data and communications efficiently. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in the School of Diplomacy.
