General Manager – Returns Warehouse | Quince

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Quince, located in-person. Quince is a direct-to-consumer tech company that aims to provide high-quality essentials at low prices by cutting out middlemen and utilizing just-in-time manufacturing, analytics, and automation. This role is pivotal in establishing and leading Quince’s second Returns Processing Center from the ground up, overseeing a large team, driving operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction within a rapidly growing business.

• Pay: $186994–$204801 yearly
• Team: Leads two Operations Managers, two Area Managers, and up to 400 hourly Associates
• Mission: Owns building and leading the second Returns Processing Center from the ground up to ensure efficient operations, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, Excel, Data Analytics tools, Automation tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of site operations, including performance, quality, safety, and customer experience across all departments.
• Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and driving process enhancements.
• Optimization: Optimize reverse logistics flows, speed, and accuracy by leveraging data analytics and automation tools to minimize costs.
• Team Development: Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development for team members.
• Financial Management: Manage the operational P&L for the site, ensuring cost control and adherence to budget.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field, with senior leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce environments.
• Experience: 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce, including at least 2 years in a senior management role, with a proven track record of driving operational performance and managing budgets.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, and Excel, along with the ability to manage diverse teams and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree (MBA), certification in Lean or Six Sigma, experience managing both salaried and hourly workforces in large-scale distribution or fulfillment centers, and an interest in long-term career development through assignments across multiple facilities.
