The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Lineage Logistics, located in New Castle, DE. Lineage Logistics operates a D2C warehouse operation, supporting the storage and distribution of food. This General Manager role is vital for developing engaged, high-performing teams, fostering continuous improvement, and leading operational excellence within a challenging, yet complex, warehouse setting. The position focuses on delivering exceptional results and ensuring safe, high-quality service for clients.

The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop and Lead Teams: Directly recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports, ensuring team productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Achieve company performance goals and internal/external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and high customer service standards, while maintaining regulatory and company safety standards.
• Implement Continuous Improvement: Review and analyze all warehouse activities and costs to drive process improvement initiatives and lead through change.
• Manage Client Relationships: Establish and maintain an excellent focus on customer service and client relationships, including collaborating with the Sales Manager on new account strategies, rate development, and contract negotiation.
• Oversee Financial and Asset Management: Monitor and control facility budgets, capital expenditures, material handling equipment, and space utilization to meet corporate targets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Operations Management within Supply Chain or a related field.
• Experience: 4 years of Operations Management experience in Supply Chain or a related field, including managing, training, and developing people in operation roles. Demonstrated proficiency in the development and implementation of strategy/annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOPs, workshops, etc.), and bottom-line cost/efficiency management. Experience with continuous improvement quality processes such as Six Sigma and/or LEAN.
• Skills: Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with internal and external customers and lead discussions. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity, and the capacity to make presentations and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
