General Manager | Main Event

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Main Event, located in-person at a Main Event venue. Main Event, part of Dave & Buster’s Inc., provides entertainment, food, and beverages to guests. This General Manager position is crucial for inspiring and fostering accountability across all operations to drive success and enhance business outcomes, all while upholding the company’s culture of fun. The role requires strong leadership and guidance on strategic initiatives and operational standards to ensure consistent high performance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Leadership: Oversee all operational aspects, including entertainment, food, beverages, equipment, and property, to support the achievement of financial objectives and company initiatives.
• Financial Strategy: Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to grow revenue and control costs, ensuring the business meets or exceeds annual budgets.
• Team Development: Promote positive employee relations, foster high staff morale, and assure appropriate staffing levels and management coverage to maximize the customer experience.
• Guest Satisfaction: Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through an optimal combination of food, drinks, and games, while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.
• Standard Adherence: Continuously improve operational execution through close attention to detail and strict adherence to all operating standards and procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully managing operations and meeting financial goals.
• Experience: 5+ years of restaurant or hospitality experience, proficient in managing the cost of goods sold and labor.
• Skills: Strong business acumen, exceptional customer service and issue resolution capabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and familiarity with health, safety, and labor laws relevant to the restaurant industry.
