Night Auditor | Highgate

This is an hourly, late/overnight role at Highgate, located in North Wales, PA. Highgate is a leading real estate investment and hospitality management company, overseeing a global portfolio of more than 400 hotels across various regions. The Night Auditor is essential for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, preparing management reports, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings, while also contributing to guest satisfaction during the overnight hours.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Reconciliation: Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions, including those from the Front Desk and Food & Beverage, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Report Preparation: Prepare, organize, and distribute necessary daily and month-end management reports, such as Daily Operating Reports, Discount Programs, and Tax Reports, according to hotel standards.
• Billing and Credit Card Processing: Ensure the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions, and audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit card payments in a timely manner.
• Information Management: Input and update financial information into the corporate communications network, and perform required daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions.
• Guest Services: Perform guest service agent duties as needed, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, reservations, and handling guest requests to ensure overall satisfaction.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of progressive experience within a hotel or a related field. Guest Service Experience is preferred.
• Skills:
• Financial Aptitude: Ability to work with and understand financial information, data, and perform basic arithmetic functions.
• Computer Literacy: Required computer knowledge and skills for managing systems and data entry.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact attentively, friendly, and courteously with employees and guests.
• Prioritization: Ability to prioritize job functions effectively to meet deadlines.
• Accuracy: Ensuring the precision of all reported numbers and statistics.
• Bonus: Willingness to cross-train in other accounting or hotel-related areas, ability to maintain confidentiality of information, and the capacity to show initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs.
