Fund Accountant, Investment Fund Services | SEI

The Tone:
This is an entry-level, full-time role at SEI, likely based in Oaks, PA, within the rapidly growing Investment Manager Services Division. SEI is a global technology and asset management company, renowned for providing comprehensive investment processing, management, and operations solutions. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional accounting and administration services for a diverse range of client investment vehicles, including mutual funds, CITs, and ETFs. Your work will be fundamental in acting as the official record keeper for these funds, ensuring accuracy and trust in financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Fund Calculations: Utilize accounting skills to calculate funds’ daily investable cash, various expenses, and income.
• NAV Reporting & Shareholder Processing: Calculate and report daily Net Asset Values (NAV’s), and process shareholder activity while performing timely reconciliations with transfer agents.
• Client Communication & Record Keeping: Communicate fund transactions and collaborate with internal and external clients to provide thorough accounting packages, serving as the official record keeper.
• Audit Engagement Support: Provide support for various year-end audit engagements, ensuring adherence to GAAP accounting standards.
• Investment Manager Inquiries: Correspond with external investment managers to address day-to-day fund inquiries, including security trades, fee payments, and cash position breaks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Internship experience in a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency, strong written and verbal communication, effective customer service, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables with quality.
