The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The PAC Collective, located in a remote environment within the United States. The company produces competitions, conferences, and other events, requiring robust financial management to support its diverse operational needs. This role is critical for ensuring that all financial information is accurate, well-organized, and consistently maintained, serving as the cornerstone for dependable financial management and operational excellence. The Full Charge Bookkeeper plays a vital role in upholding strong internal controls and providing reliable data for decision-making.

• Mission: Owns the accounting function to ensure accurate, organized, and timely financial information for operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Oversee all daily accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, execute monthly close procedures, and ensure accurate financial records.
• Accounts Management: Direct accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense management, while overseeing the Billing Administrator.
• Financial Reporting & Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process, track spending against approved budgets, and prepare financial reports to aid decision-making.
• Event & Payroll Accounting: Manage financial records for individual events and tours, including revenue and expenses, and accurately process company payroll.
• Process & System Optimization: Maintain established accounting processes, identify opportunities for efficiency, and implement approved system improvements using advanced Excel and QuickBooks skills.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A senior professional with a strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping, internal controls, and core accounting principles.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close. Proven experience supporting departmental budgets, financial reporting, and supervising administrative or accounting support staff.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, lookups) and QuickBooks Online. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively. Proactive and clear communication skills, particularly for following up and resolving issues. Process-oriented mindset with a commitment to consistency.
• Bonus: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Willingness and ability to provide weekend support, monitor communications, offer guidance, and potentially step in for emergency tour operations.
