Financial Analyst (FP&A) | Jabil
The Tone:
This is an early career, on-site role for an FP&A Analyst I at Jabil’s Corporate Headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL. Jabil is a global manufacturing services company, and this position supports the vital Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role is instrumental in providing timely and accurate financial insights, directly contributing to informed business decisions across the organization. What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting & File Management: Assist with monthly and quarterly management reporting, assembling data, preparing schedules, and ensuring accuracy, while also maintaining and improving recurring Excel-based reporting files.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budget and forecast processes by gathering inputs, maintaining templates, and consolidating financial results.
• Performance Analysis: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and perform basic variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast/prior periods), summarizing findings to identify trends and drivers.
• Financial Modeling: Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of financial models under the guidance of senior team members.
• Ad Hoc Analysis & Presentation: Assist with research and various ad hoc analyses requested by leadership and business partners, preparing presentation-ready charts and tables for summaries.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Experience: This is an early career role requiring 0–2 years of relevant experience, such as an internship, co-op, or entry-level finance/accounting position.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and data accuracy, proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and basic formulas) and PowerPoint, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to both financial and non-financial audiences. Additionally, strong organizational and time management skills are essential for managing multiple priorities, alongside a professional and collaborative communication style.
• Bonus: Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or modeling through coursework, internship, or project work. Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, financial planning tools such as TM1 or Prism, or data preparation and automation tools like Alteryx is a plus.
