The Tone:
This is a full-time role at EFI Global, located in the United States. EFI Global is a full-service firm providing engineering, fire investigation, environmental, health and safety, and specialty consulting services to both public and private sectors. Over four decades, the company has grown into a recognized global leader in engineering failure analysis, origin-and-cause investigations, environmental consulting, laboratory testing, and specialty consulting. This role is crucial for investigating accident sites and equipment, thoroughly documenting evidence, determining the scope and origin of damages, and providing expert opinions and litigation support to clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigate: Conduct investigations of vehicles, equipment, and accident sites to document evidence and determine the scope of damage.
• Assess: Investigate and assess damages due to failures, determining the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.
• Analyze: Research, evaluate, analyze, and test the causation of accidents and failures.
• Report: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports outlining the cause of the accident.
• Testify: Serve as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.
• Manage: Document and maintain billable hours for failure analysis and engineering projects for clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. A Professional Engineering (PE) license is also essential, enabling the analysis of accident sites, vehicles, and equipment to determine damage and causation.
• Experience: Six (6) years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required, specifically demonstrating expertise in investigating vehicle, equipment, and accident site failures for forensic analysis and litigation support.
• Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication abilities for report generation and expert testimony, be PC literate including proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and have strong analytical and interpretive skills to evaluate accident causation.
• Bonus: Strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client interaction, the ability to work independently or in a team environment, and a proven ability to meet project deadlines and performance competencies.
