Financial Representative Internship Description:

Northwestern Mutual’s internship program mirrors the full-time Financial Representative role. Interns, from diverse academic backgrounds, build a financial planning practice utilizing local and nationwide experts, exclusive financial products, and the support of a Fortune 100 company. The program aims to build confidence, develop professional networks, and allow interns to make a positive impact on clients’ lives.

Responsibilities:

• Build a client base through prospecting and networking.
• Conduct client meetings to understand financial goals.
• Prepare financial plans and provide recommendations.
• Utilize planning software platforms.
• Obtain Life, Accident, and Health insurance licenses.
• Participate in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings.
