Transfer Pricing Operations Analyst | Google
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Google, located in the US. The Finance team at Google provides in-depth analysis on a wide range of strategic decisions across Google’s products. This role is crucial for ensuring Google makes sound financial decisions by leading individual projects that transform planning, tracking, and control processes. You will bring creative and inventive thinking to optimize efficiency and provide senior management with insightful recommendations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Calculations & Operations: Lead the end-to-end build, maintenance, and operationalization of transfer pricing and intercompany calculations for most complex entities.
• Data Specialization: Serve as a team data specialist, maintaining critical tax/financial data and partnering on finance-wide cross-functional initiatives.
• Database & Analysis: Build databases and perform in-depth analysis on tax datasets to identify key trends, anomalies, and potential operational risks.
• Process Automation: Partner with engineering and tax teams to automate workflows and transform transfer pricing processes using modern technology.
• Control & Compliance: Manage SOX controls, documentation, and global tracking across 200+ entities while proactively prioritizing urgent stakeholder needs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience is required, providing a strong foundation in core financial and accounting principles essential for transfer pricing.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in transfer pricing. This role also demands proven experience in project management, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and effectively influencing stakeholders. Additionally, candidates must have experience in data analytics, database management, workflow automation, and leading cross-functional projects.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent data-handling and problem-solving skills, particularly when working with large and complex datasets. Exceptional communication skills are critical to effectively collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience managing or building transfer pricing, intercompany, or broader tax calculations. Preferred qualifications also include practical experience working with SAP systems and utilizing AI tools for efficiency. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is also a plus.
