Financial Analyst – Acquisitions | Yellowstone Landscape

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Yellowstone Landscape. Yellowstone Landscape is a growing company expanding its operations through strategic acquisitions within the landscape industry. This Financial Analyst role is crucial for leading the financial evaluation of potential acquisition targets. The individual will provide data-driven recommendations that directly influence business decisions and ensure successful financial integration and performance tracking post-acquisition.

• Mission: To evaluate acquisition opportunities, provide data-driven recommendations influencing business decisions, and track post-acquisition financial performance against deal assumptions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Drive the development of financial models and evaluate historical income statements to support company evaluations.
• Budget Development: Own and develop detailed, multi-year operating budgets based on diligence findings to establish post-close performance targets.
• Performance Measurement: Design and refine structured financial models to measure acquired-company performance against transaction terms.
• Due Diligence Assessment: Independently assess due diligence findings, identify risks, and recommend areas requiring further analysis or focus.
• Strategic Communication: Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
• Experience: Relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or a related field, along with the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Skills:
• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Strong financial and analytical skills with proficiency in developing and validating pro forma financials and interpreting key acquisition metrics.
• Communication & Presentation: Strong communication skills and professional presence, with the ability to present findings and influence decision-making across all organizational levels.
• Problem-Solving & Judgment: Advanced problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate complex financial scenarios, identify risks, and exercise independent judgment in making data-driven recommendations.
• Software Proficiency: Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
