The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site Financial Analyst role at Westlake Financial, located in Los Angeles, CA. This role is crucial for supporting the organization by providing essential financial analysis to control costs, forecast income, and improve business processes across all departments, contributing to the company’s sustained success and growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Statement Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of the company’s financial statements and their individual components to provide insights into performance.
• Operational Cost Control: Partner with various Westlake departments to review operating expenses and implement strategies for cost control and efficiency.
• Income Forecasting & Reporting: Generate monthly income forecasts and prepare regular profitability reports, alongside other typical financial reporting duties.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements across the organization and provide recommendations based on detailed analysis.
• Strategic Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform a high volume of as-needed analyses, including ascertaining the profitability of potential business moves and conducting valuation analysis, to support departmental and upper management decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: This role is entry-level.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking and quantitative skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. The ability to be organized and coordinate well with others is also required.
• Bonus: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and VBA are preferred.
