Banker Foundation Trainee | Simmons Bank

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with an Executive Sponsor to grasp Simmons Bank’s strategic goals and build a network of key internal contacts.
• Rotational Immersion: Actively learn and perform the core functions, procedures, and applicable regulations within each assigned rotational area.
• Knowledge Enhancement: Engage in structured programs aimed at deepening understanding and proficiency in required activities.
• Performance Documentation: Compose comprehensive reviews for each rotation, outlining acquired knowledge and offering constructive suggestions for future trainees to leadership.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all departmental documents and activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, including completing mandatory compliance training.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level position, specifically seeking candidates who have completed a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts (BS/BA) Degree, demonstrating a foundational academic understanding relevant to business or finance.
• Experience: While no specific years of prior work experience are required, candidates must possess a fundamental working knowledge and practical proficiency in MS Office programs, as these tools are integral for daily tasks, data management, and effective communication throughout the rotational program.
• Skills:
• Analytical Interpretation: A critical ability to thoroughly read, analyze, and accurately interpret various complex documents, including internal procedure manuals, general business correspondence, detailed financial reports, legal documents, and relevant government regulations, to ensure informed decision-making and compliance.
• Written Communication: Demonstrated skill in drafting clear, precise, and professional written materials, encompassing simple correspondence, routine departmental reports, and broader business communications required for documentation and inter-departmental collaboration.
• Verbal Presentation: The aptitude for effectively organizing and presenting information in a clear and engaging manner during one-on-one interactions and small group settings, crucial for communicating with customers, clients, and fellow employees across the organization during and after rotations.
