This Financial Analyst position is critical for an assigned operating area, where the incumbent will accumulate, analyze, and report essential cost information. The insights derived directly support management and manufacturing personnel in making informed decisions and ensuring the efficient and economical use of company resources.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Take ownership of month-end close functions, specifically related to production costing, by preparing necessary journal entries and compiling comprehensive reports for month-end, quarterly, and annual financial results.
• Financial Forecasting: Actively participate in the company’s quarterly and annual financial forecasting processes, focusing on projecting and analyzing manufacturing costs.
• Operational Cost Analysis: Develop a strong understanding of the specific manufacturing processes within the assigned operating area to effectively analyze and report on key financial drivers such as material price variations, inventory levels, and usage efficiencies.
• Management Support & Insights: Deliver timely and accurate financial information and insights to department management, directly supporting their strategic and operational decision-making.
• Audit Compliance: Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing clear explanations of financial processes and supplying all required documentation to ensure compliance.
• Process Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities and utilize available tools to drive continuous process improvements within the financial function and across the department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field.
• Experience: Proven ability to utilize Microsoft Excel proficiently to retrieve, filter, and analyze complex data from multiple servers, tables, and manufacturing systems.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning capabilities, alongside excellent communication skills crucial for building and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external contacts.
• Bonus: Prior Accounting/Finance experience gained within a manufacturing environment; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
