Finance Summer Intern | Dal-Tile
The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Dal-Tile, located in the Dallas Corporate Office. Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States. This role is an integral part of the Corporate Finance team, offering hands-on exposure to corporate accounting operations and financial controls within a structured business environment. The intern’s contributions will support core accounting processes, financial analysis, and reconciliation projects, directly impacting the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Assist with the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and support the resolution of reconciling items.
• Journal Entry Creation: Help prepare and post journal entries, supporting month-end close activities while ensuring accuracy and proper account coding in alignment with GAAP principles.
• GRIR Analysis & Write-Off Support: Perform detailed analysis of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) accounts, identify aging items, and assist in researching discrepancies and supporting write-off recommendations.
• Intercompany Reconciliation: Assist with intercompany account reconciliations, support the resolution of discrepancies, and collaborate with internal business units for accurate reporting.
• Project Presentation: Deliver measurable financial process improvements and present project outcomes at the annual Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This is an early career internship.
• Experience: Must be available for the full 12-week program duration from Monday, May 18, 2026 – Friday, August 7, 2026, and attend/present at Intern Expo Day. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
